Roger Dean

I own many of the albums that grace his artwork, signed by him.  He was a frequent guest at the NEARFest concerts in Bethlehem, PA - a festival that highlighted the Progressive Rock genre of complex, symphonic music (which is my favorite! Concept albums?  I wrote The Cassini Mission!).

The display case graces several of his lesser-known album covers, such as for Greenslade, Budgie, Osibisa and Magna Carta - as well as the first Asia album!  It also has a postage stamp set from Isle of Man, some of his books, and a photo of myself and my son with him.

Then come and check out the “Tales From Topographic Oceans” stained glass in my personal office!  It was a made by local Winter Garden artist Dave Pawlicki

Roger Dean is an English artist, designer and publisher.  He is best known for his amazing album covers for musicians in the late 60s & 70s, such as Yes, Asia and Uriah Heep.  Many see his art as the inspiration behind James Cameron’s “Avatar” movies floating islands.
